The Lease is SIGNED ! It's Official!

Today the Hemke Family signed their first lease for a Cherry On Top Store!

It was a fun and very, very happy time for us! ...The Lawyer representing the retail center...his name is Jack...was really excited to hear our story. He shared with us some of the other partners we will have in the strip mall area...Let's just say...our patience will be worth it. We even got to share our tenant ideas...like a ups store, Papa Murphy and a Taco Bell! Next up...the architect...who called us on the way home!

The next phase should be 6 weeks....surveying...designing...plotting...contracting...and permitting! We can go out to Ca tomorrow and relax a bit...take a vacation and hit as many COT's as possible! We want yogurt NOW!

Lease Signing!

We will sign our 1st lease tomorrow, July 22 2010 at 2 pm!!!!!

This has been a week filled with discussions with the lawyers and our broker, Dwight, about details and wording...and timing. We feel that our lease is fair and we are ready to go! Next up with the process...deciding on a contractor to build a dividing wall, working with the architect for the design and finding a second location! This process is NOT for the fainthearted...or for anyone who likes to cross things off of their list...it is a journey ! With that said...We are off to CA to RELAX and take our last vacation for awhile:) and visit as many COT's as possible!

THE Lease!

We have a lease...! We will have our Lawyer and Broker review the lease and hope to have it signed by Wed. 7/21. Next up...we need to have a contractor build a dividing wall...and then an architect will design our store. It takes 6-8 weeks of construction to open a store! At this point we are hoping for end of October/Beginning of November soft opening!

Waiting for the lease...and waiting.

We have done our part....and now, we are waiting ....patiently, for the lease for our Flagship yogurt store! Once we receive the lease...our lives will get a crazy! We can't wait.

Owning this business means so much to us. We are grateful to all those who have listened to our ideas, for the advise and counsel, the encouragement, the support and excitement. We look forward to the day when you can walk into our Cherry On Top and buy some yogurt...your way!
