We have a BUILDING PERMIT !!!!!!!!!

We are officially underway! Yea!

It's a Beautiful Day for the Pumpkin Patch and....

A COT break ....and it's off to the Pumpkin patch! We should have worn shorts and a tank top!

So, How about a COT at The Oak Park Mall in the spring?????? It is a good day. We are so very excited about this opportunity and can hardly wait to get working on the plans. Of course, we know that the lease must first go thru lawyers, waiting periods and more approvals....but, it should all go according to plan. Now that we are experts in waiting...this should be no big deal.....

And....we were approved for our loan....one more step and we are good and have our funding to finish store number 1....The Flagship in Lenexa.

And....plans were given to the City of Lenexa today....with some luck, we should have our license to build at the end of next week...at the latest 10/29!

This past week was spent finalizing many, many details that the City had required of us and our Contractor. With this in mind, we can start hammering by 11/1....and that means opening around Christmas...Merry Christmas to us!

What a journey we are having. A big thank you to everyone who is helping us along the way....

Tonight we will allow ourselves a bit of a celebration. !

Plan Review....Part 1

Last Thursday...9/30...We received the email with the initial reviews from the City of Lenexa:)

The email was quickly forwarded to the many people who are bringing our store to 'Life'. 4 pages of this and that....not too bad!??? The week of 10/4 will be about getting all those little notes taken care of and resubmitting. The good news was...we passed without having to add another restroom!!!!!!! This was the source of major worry. And, now that worry is gone:) After resubmitting....we wait another 10 days. How patient are we!??? We should also receive an answer from the Mall towards the end of the week. I hope that we can work out the details...Having a COT in the Mall will be amazing. (I am being positive with my choice of future tense). We are still working on our financing....we have just ordered out yogurt machines and POS equipment. This week I will be working on the lighting and tables/chairs. The good news(kind of) is that we can now sell our hamster equipment and use the proceeds towards COT...the other hamster(Cody) is now buried next to fat Zach. May they rest in peace.
