Cherry On Top BANNERS !

SO....If you are not ready to build...do the next best thing and put up a BANNER or 2 !

On Wednesday we received our banners that we ordered ...so, we hopped into the car to head over to our flagship! We were so excited to 'label' our spot...even while we were hanging the banner...people were slowing down to read it! The girls thought this was a blast. It was so exciting to do something since we are so limited on what we can do!

We received notification that the remainder of our plans...mechanical, electrical, plumbing etc...should be ready at some point today! Then it is off to the city for approval...which should take upto 2 weeks. We received our business license this week! Yea, ...now we can go to Sam's and get a business membership! Many other things are going on as we wait for the plans to be done and approved by what seems like everyone!

One of the major things we have done is scouting for our next location. We are really interested in a spot at Johnson drive and Metcalf....but, so is another Yogurt store. We find out today who gets it....With that in mind, we have kept looking. We spent some time in Lawrence figuring out the traffic and looking at various locations. There is a 3 spoons yogurt store on Mass. Street that had some of the best yogurt I have had...next to COT of course! There are more options in Johnson County as well....

Missing of course was our store! You can see by the article that business is booming and there is alot of room to grow!

It has been more than difficult to be patient...we are so excited! Our dinner conversation almost always revolve around COT....More soon!

Keys, Architect and Store #2...and more patience

We have been back from CA now for 11 days...and so much has happened. At the same time, it seems like not much has happened....unless of course you count our 'large' hamster (Zach) deciding to go to animal heaven. Anyway, we have received our keys to our space ! Yea! Now we can stop by anytime and dream of construction going on! We have started to interview contractors....we have checked into getting the Cherry On Top logo on the 'exit' ramp signs...you know the logos on the big, blue signs that tell you when to exit for your favorite food place or gas station! There has been and will be much discussion on where we will open Store #2!....One afternoon we drove all around trying to find the second most perfect spot and tasting yogurt at some of our competitors stores! Maddie and Sammy loved that day. Before construction can begin, before we can hang a sign saying 'Blooming soon' we need to get a permit....Before we can get a permit, we need a contractor. Before we can hire a contractor, we need the architect plans. There is a real order to things and the month of August will be all about waiting for others to do their job. We are so patient...right. Today....over the internet came our first look at what the Architect has put together for our spot. We are working with an agency out of San Diego...they have done quite a few stores for Cherry On Top!....We will review them, put our own spin on them, make any changes if necessary and wait for the revisions! Can't wait to see what next week brings us!
